Artist and handpan specialist
As a musician with a degree in systematic musicology, I combine sound specialist knowledge with many years of artistic practice. The handpan is at the heart of my work – as an instrument, as a sound space, and as a handcrafted object.
At the same time, I understand music as something open: In my projects, I combine the handpan with synthesizers, percussion, and other instruments. This creates soundscapes that unite acoustic depth with modern influences – both in my solo program and in expanded live setups with electronic elements.
In addition to my concert performances at home and abroad, I share my knowledge through a textbook and an online course. Furthermore, I guide people on their individual journey with the handpan – from purchasing and playing to maintenance and professional retuning.
My approach is holistic: The handpan is at the center, but always remains part of a larger musical context. This creates a space where sound, craftsmanship, and musical development come together.
